Marie Tamoifo Nkom

Marie Tamoifo Nkom is the Sub-regional Coordinator of the Network of Young Leaders for Sustainable Management of Central African Forest Ecosystems (REJEFAC) present in ten countries of the COMIFAC/Central Africa. She is an active member of the Conference on Central African Dense and Moist Forest Ecosystems (CEFDHAC).
She is committed to youth and young women leadership; She was designated as the spokesperson for African youth at the Summit of Heads of State of Africa and France in Bamako, Mali in 2005.
She has piloted many projects and programs such as the annual gathering COP CHEZ NOUS initiative, giving youth from the Congo Basin a chance to share their contribution papers for COPs, a solar energy program. And also regional and national meetings encouraging inclusive participation towards finding solutions to both biodiversity conservation and Forest sustainable management.
She is also the founding President of the Association Jeunesse Verte du Cameroun (Green Youth Association of Cameroon).
